Bcharre and the Cedars: where to stay, what to see, and when to go
A weekend in Bcharre: the ancient Cedars of God, the Gibran Museum, the Qadisha Valley, skiing, and the chalet and villa where you can stay.

Cool mountain air, a valley dotted with some of the oldest monasteries in the Middle East, and a grove of ancient cedars: Bcharre, in the north of Lebanon, is where the mountains feel biggest. It is the hometown of the poet Khalil Gibran, and the gateway to the Cedars of God.
Plan a full weekend, because the drive from Beirut is long. You will see the name spelled Bcharre, Bsharri and Bcharreh; they are the same town.
Where to stay
We list two stays in Bcharre: a chalet and a villa. Both put you close to the town and the valley, a good base for the Cedars and the Gibran Museum.

The Bronze Nook Chalet is the chalet option.

For a group, look at the Umber Harmony Villa. See both on the Bcharre page.
